The founder
Bastien Moraga
A member of the Paris Bar for more than 16 years, Bastien Moraga advises entrepreneurs, executives, companies, shareholders and investors on strategic business-law transactions.
His practice focuses primarily on corporate law, mergers and acquisitions and private equity, at every stage of a company’s life: formation, structuring and reorganisation, external growth transactions, acquisitions and disposals, fundraising, equity investments and capital transactions.
Before founding BMR Avocat, Bastien Moraga spent more than fifteen years in French and international business law firms. He was notably a partner and co-founder of the Paris office of Dumon Partners, after beginning his career at firms including Gide Loyrette Nouel and Watson Farley & Williams.
In 2026, he founded BMR Avocat with the aim of providing demanding, pragmatic and directly involved support alongside his clients. The firm favours close relationships with executives and a concrete understanding of their economic challenges, so that legal advice forms an integral part of their strategy and development projects.
His practice covers, in particular, company formations, M&A transactions, investments and equity interests, private equity transactions, fundraising, management incentive plans and equity incentive mechanisms, intra-group transactions and, more broadly, governance and corporate-law issues faced by companies and their executives.
His approach is based on an in-depth understanding of clients’ economic and operational issues, with particular attention to transaction structuring, negotiation and anticipation of risks. He acts for companies of various sizes and across a wide range of sectors, in France and on cross-border transactions.
Bastien Moraga holds the Certificat d’aptitude à la profession d’avocat (CAPA) awarded by the Paris Bar School (EFB). He also holds a Master 2 in Business and Corporate Law from the University of Poitiers, the DJCE and the specialisation certificate in corporate law from the University of Montpellier, as well as a DEA in private law completed between the University of Poitiers and the University of Bristol in the United Kingdom. His education also includes a DUT GEA in Finance and Accounting from the University of Western Brittany.
